In my opinion the transition should be done very carefully. Crime must be controlled and economic development to be planned with a vision in the future!

Great post. However I don't think Cuba is in transition. Yes, they've allowed some businesses to operate privately, but those are mainly small businesses that have no impact on the overall economic performance of the nation. The big money is still controlled by the junta and I don't believe this will ever change...
